Yoga - Getting older doesn’t mean getting old

Getting older doesn’t mean getting old. We do not have to accept the traditional understanding that aging means declining strength, health and quality of life. We have a choice and we can all choose to maintain and create healthy, strong, vital bodies and minds.
Yoga has been the path to health and living for more than 5,000 years. It’s a ‘Fountain of Youth’. The effects on the body are rejuvenating. It has a calming influence on the mind. Yoga is a pathway to heightened awareness of ourselves physically, mentally, and spiritually and is adaptable to any age group as well as any physical condition.
Yoga is far more effective than aerobics. It builds stamina and also controls breathing. And is even more relaxing than going for a jog along the beach. Clinically seen, Yoga has shown to lower blood pressure, build up muscle tissue, increase your circulation and flexibility. It’s a stress reliever for stress related symptoms and not to forget, it strengthens your respiratory system, cleanses internal organs and balances your digestive system. You will also find that you find relief from symptoms of menopause and it lessons the effect of osteoporosis. The nervous system feels energised, it offers relief from headaches and the lower backache mots of us suffer from.
Yoga benefit’s the body, mind and soul. It’s a pathway to greater spiritual awareness. Health is a choice, attitude and of course state of our minds. Question is, what do you want to look like when you reach 50? Really, it is up to you.
