It has been advised for pregnant woman to take Vitamin supplements during pregnancy, folic acid in particular in order to prevent Spina bifida in babies. Of course, all they have to do is have a salad every day as of course foliage is the best provider of folic acid.

The B complex has many different bodily functions with the two most important ones being:

Releasing of energy from food

Maintenance of the immune system

Should you keep feeling tired or even keep catching colds, it could be that you need to eat more green leaves!

The body easily makes as much Vitamin A as it needs from the leaves, as they are the riches sources of carotene, or pro vitamin A.

If eaten to excess, pure Vitamin A or retinol (as found in animal products) is highly toxic. It has been known that arctic explorers have died from Vitamin A & D poisoning following the ingestion of polar bear liver as that is where these Vitamins (in particularly very high concentrations) are stored.

Carotene in large quantities is very beneficial as well as healing and it is totally non-toxic. Because of the high pollution these days it is also a very useful antioxidant. You can also find carotene in orange or yellow vegetables and fruits for example rosehips and apricots.
