By Viola Woolcott
There may be many reasons why you procrastinate. Ask yourself what it is that is stopping you. Is it stepping into the unknown? Fear? Or is it something that you should be sticking to? What is it you are waiting for? What is it that you are avoiding?
Procrastination can lead to stress, inadequacy, depression, self-doubt, loss of productivity, creation of crises, lack of concentration, feelings of guilt and letting others down by not fulfilling one’s commitments as well as responsibilities.
Fear of rejection - Fear of failure - Fear of making a fool of yourself - Fear of success. But fear can be a powerful friend as it shows you where you need to grow. Feel the fear, stop whatever it is you are doing, breathe deeply and observe your feelings and where they come from and what triggered them of. Consciously breathe out the feelings of fear, the negativity. Deeply and consciously breathe in the lightness of hope turning negative thoughts into empowering once. Listen to your inner voice.
Negative thoughts bring down your energy - Positive thoughts are empowering and they expand your energy.
