Vital Life Energy

Life would not exist without the chlorophyll in green leaves. It forms the basics for all life on Earth and virtually all life depends on that beautiful green molecule.

You find that the chlorophyll pigment is concentrated in the leaves of plants and it is also present in other parts, for example stems of many herbaceous plants, flower buds and certain fruits and occasionally in the roots.

Responsible for trapping the sun’s energy is the chlorophyll molecule. This solar energy is changed to chemical energy in the form of glucose using carbon dioxide from the atmosphere and water from the soil. As required, this glucose is then transported all around the plant. Some of it will oxidise for energy . When it is not required immediately, some stores as insoluble starch. To make new plant structures such as more stems, leaves, roots, flowers, some is converted into cellulose and also taken to fruits and accumulated there. To make proteins utilise nitrogen from the soil, glucose will also be used.

Green leaves are so very extremely beneficial to the health, they are the powerhouses - the great driving force for Life on Earth. That wonderful source of energy and vitality that powers Life on Earth you take into your very being when you eat a leaf.

It is therefore no coincidence that the structure of chlorophyll is very similar to that of the haemoglobin molecule (being responsible for carrying oxygen in our blood and distributing it to our cells, as well as picking up CO2 and taking it back to the lungs for excretion). Haemoglobin contains iron whilst chlorophyll contains magnesium being the main difference.

The molecule itself is very soothing and with its healing properties very useful in healing wounds. Also being a wonderful de-odouriser it can also help to remove unpleasant smells from the gut!

Particular full of activity and vitality are freshly picked raw leaves. With Kirlian photography the vitality or life force can be measured and reduces with an individual plant or animal becoming sick or old. By eating fresh, raw leaves you are ingesting that vitality into you. Picked and stored leaves as well as cooked or dried leaves will still be beneficial, but have much less vitality.

Take in Life - eat Green leaves!
