Lacking Self-Acceptance Inhibits Your Happiness
Posted by Viola Woolcott
Learning self-acceptance is an agreement with yourself. An agreement to validate, appreciate, support and accept who you are right now, at this moment in time. That includes all of the parts you don’t like about yourself and really like to change.
Most people don’t find it as easy as it really should be. Quite often that is because you don’t feel satisfied with who you are and it only changes when you achieve certain things.
Lacking self-acceptance will make you uncomfortable. It inhibits your happiness and of course your sense of wellbeing. You may even reject yourself.
Accept yourself, your mistakes, your failures, the parts you don’t like about yourself. Learn to know yourself and your beliefs, that you are doing the best that you can. Relax your value judgement and do refuse to measure yourself to other peoples expectations.
NO need to feel like this
To accept yourself as and who you are means that when you look at yourself in the mirror you love and accept the person who you look at.
