Healing With Colour | There is No Life Without Light
Healing With Colour | There is No Life Without Light
By Viola Woolcott
From the moment we are born, we are surrounded by colour and of course we are born into a ‘specific’ colour that stays with us for the rest of our life. Most of us take colour for granted, even though colour is an intimate part of our being and it is not possible for us to be indifferent to it.
I consider colour to be an aspect of everything we eat, drink, touch and that surrounds us. Colours are used to describe emotions, health, attitudes, feelings and also our psychic or spiritual experiences. Each colour has its own impact on our system.
Colour affects every persons home environment, even those of hospitals, offices, factories, schools and also shops. Did you know that the colour of the clothes you wear reflect your personality? Therefore colour plays a big part in how it effects and influences your mood. And of course, even on your personal relationships colour has quite a practical bearing.
There is no life without light. Imagine putting a plant in a dark place… what will happen? it will die…Light is naturally essential for growth… for life. And aren’t we as living beings continually responding to the stimuli that we all call light? And don’t we all know that light comes from all the colours?
Colour brings harmony as well as balance within the psyche and the body, so many healing needs can be met by the use of colour. The vibration of colour is invisible and it has the ability to either relax or stimulate us, depending on the colours that are chosen for healing. Did you know that by allowing the fingers to pick up the vibrational energy of different colours, that it is possible for a blind person to develop a sense of colour?
Colour has the ability to change your life. Be responsive to your inner knowledge and look closely at colour, it is a non-invasive way to discover yourself, as colour has the power to be both, transcendent as well as intuitive.
