Fancy a SLITHERING Snake Massage?
Fancy a SLITHERING Snake Massage?

Israeli health and beauty spa offers a snake massage for £40, which is about $70.
Who would have thought that the physical contact with snakes crawling up, down, between and over your naked body could be a relaxing experience?
How about six non-venomous snakes massaging your aching muscles and joints? Slithering between your legs?
Ada Barak’s runs a snake spa in Talmei Elazar, which is in the north part of Israel. She uses California and Florida king snakes, corn snakes and milk snakes for the massages, which cost £40 ($70).
Ada believes that the physical contact with the reptiles to be a relaxing therapy for everyone to be experienced She also says that she believes that once people get over their initial ‘feelings‘, they will find that the physical contact with the snakes to be a stress reliever.
Miss Barak says that some people say that by holding the snakes it made them feel better, relaxed and calm. One old lady even said it was soothing, like a cold compress.
The snakes come in different sizes and it entirely depends on the type of massage you require. Dare I say, but the larger ones are believed to alleviate deeper muscle tensions, where the smaller ones are said to create a ‘fluttering’ effect. It may settle your mind, all of the snakes that are used are non-venomous.
As a tourist attraction, Miss Barak started to “offer” her snake ’services’ in 2006 at the Talmey El’Azar. She runs a carnivorous plant farm and most of her income comes from exhibiting plants, which ’consume’ everything from insects to small mammals.
In April Ada Barak appeared on “Tyra Banks Show“, which is an American chat show, for an episode entitled “Beauty Tips Around the World”.
What do you think? Are you up for it? Personally I think I skip the treatment and stick to my usual weekly massages. For me, a snake massage isn’t exactly a Spa conjuring an atmosphere of my liking, with atmosphere, relaxation and tranquillity. Personally I would be the opposite of relaxed.
Good luck to Ada!
