Condensation: Are You Wasting Money On Heating Bills?

Is this what your windows look like?
With winter almost being here and with predicted utility rates on the increase, home heating costs can be higher than ever. And if you are troubled by condensation on the windows of your home, you aren’t alone. It’s a common problem during the winter months.
Windows that are deteriorating, are loose and rattling, where the seals are gone, you hear/feel a draft or maybe even where the windows have been improperly installed and also if you have wooden windows, where the wood is rotting and the paint is peeling as a result of condensation, think again, it can cost you hundreds and thousands of $£$£$£$ this winter.
With condensation on the inside of your windows can freeze in the wintertime. In simple terms, you loose as much heat through that particular window as if you had a hole in the wall of the size of a brick. And think again if you believe that drafty windows are inexpensive and they only add a few £$£$£$£$ a month to your heating bill. They are not. They can on average add as much as 25% to your heating bill.
You may think that it matters how well the window is made. NO, it doesn’t. If a window isn’t fitted correctly or properly installed, you may have a problem.

Viola - I love what you are doing with this blog. So many great topics, good links, interesting content presented in a no nonsense way! Well done. We have much in common despite me living on the other side of the world. Green living, alternative health, personal development and home education - I feel I have met a friend. Keep up the great work. Cheers Cate
