Following an alkaline diet is very simple, healthy and nutritious as well as nourishing and life giving. It is an approach to health, emphasising a reduction of foods, which have an acidifying effect on the body. Eat fresh, leafy green vegetables, salads and nuts (AVOID Peanuts and Cashews) etc and stay away from acid-forming foods i.e. sugar, alcohol, bad fats, tobacco, yeast, dairy, fizzy drinks, chocolates etc.
By cleansing (detoxify), you eliminate acid wastes as well as negative microforms throughout your body, detoxifying the blood, tissues and also your digestive systems.
It is quite common for you to feel worse before you become better due to the removal of so many accumulated toxins and wastes from your body. Even though the levels of symptoms vary, it is very common to experience symptoms such as nausea, headaches, dizziness and even excess mucus. When this occurs it is important that you remember that your body is ‘talking to you’. It is trying to flush out excessive toxins. To support to flush out the toxins more quickly, you must also remember to stay totally hydrated with alkaline water and green drinks.
